Overview

The Overtime Pay Calculator computes premium pay for extended, night, and holiday work under Korea's Labor Standards Act. It applies 50% premium for overtime, 50% for night work (10 PM–6 AM), and 50–100% for holiday work based on the ordinary hourly wage.

Formula

Overtime Pay = Ordinary Hourly Wage × 1.5 × Overtime Hours
Night Work Pay = Ordinary Hourly Wage × 0.5 × Night Hours (22:00–06:00)
Holiday Pay = Ordinary Hourly Wage × 1.5 × Holiday Hours (≤ 8 hrs)
           = Ordinary Hourly Wage × 2.0 × Holiday Hours (> 8 hrs)

• Ordinary Hourly Wage = Monthly Ordinary Wage ÷ 209 hours
• Night + Overtime overlap: Ordinary Hourly Wage × 2.0

Tips

• ✔Workplaces with fewer than 5 employees are exempt from overtime premium requirements.
