Overview

The Hourly Wage Calculator converts monthly or annual salary into an hourly rate, or calculates monthly/annual pay from an hourly wage. It uses Korea's statutory working hours (40 hours/week, 209 hours/month including paid weekly holiday) for accurate conversion.

Formula

Hourly Wage = Monthly Salary ÷ Monthly Contractual Hours

• Monthly Contractual Hours = (Weekly hours + Paid weekly holiday hours) × (365 ÷ 7) ÷ 12
• Standard 40-hour week: 209 hours/month (including 8 hours paid holiday)
• From annual salary: Hourly Wage = Annual Salary ÷ 12 ÷ 209
